UrbanGrowth’s mandate as the lead agency responsible for coordinating other agencies will drive a whole of government response to the complex challenges of building better cities… Firstly, I am looking forward to working with you to develop long term vision and objectives for Central to Eveleigh and surrounding neighbourhoods. We have already received feedback from many stakeholders that the influence of renewal of the rail corridor will extend over a wider area and that the existing rich heritage, diversity and vibrancy of this part of Sydney needs to be harnessed by future renewal and development. The new project name also recognises the importance of public transport (in particular rail) in delivering long term outcomes and the opportunities that future improvements such as upgrading rail stations will provide for urban renewal. In the coming weeks, additional information on the project will be available on the UrbanGrowth website, including a record of community workshops held last year. The fly through shows buildings coming out of ATP heritage buildings and given the community and rail heritage people have worked hard to preserve the Heritage on the Eveleigh site it is difficult seeing this being acceptable. UrbanGrowth NSW now need to make public their background work on the site and start consulting with the community in a transparent manner.</span><span style='color:black'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p
