This commitment was made to address concerns from residents regarding the potential for traffic from the North Eveleigh site using Queen Street as a short-cut to King Street. Generally, the Queen Street residents were supportive of the measure, however residents of Forbes Street were strongly opposed. The results did not show a consensus among residents of the area about this proposal.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>UGDC has forwarded the results of the survey to the City for its information.</span><span style='color:#1F497D'> </span><span style='color:black'>The City is the consent authority for all traffic and parking treatments on City controlled roads such as Wilson Street. </span><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>The City has subsequently advised that a central median island on Wilson Street would impact on the future cycleway along Wilson Street. The cycleway in Wilson Street is one of the City’s high priority regional routes.
